The fund can be used for marketing or operations of special events and festivals designed to attract tourists to Sioux County and will be distributed on a reimbursement basis.<\/p><p>The grants are available any government or non-profit organization which has a primary purpose of bringing visitors to the county. Visitor events and festivals must be in a defined location, open to the public, and of educational, cultural, historical, artistic or recreational significance, or provide entertainment, or have exhibits, displays or performances of educational, cultural, historic artistic or entertainment value.<\/p><p>All grants awarded by the Sioux County Travel Board are subject to final approval by the Sioux County Board of Commissioners.<\/p><p>Promotion grant applications will be reviewed at the regular Travel Board meeting.<\/p><ol><li>Application deadlines will be January 1st, April 1st, and October 1st.<\/li><li>Applications will be submitted to the Sioux County Clerk who will forward them on to the Travel Board for consideration. The Travel Board will act upon the applications and present their actions to the Sioux County Commissioners.<\/li><\/ol><p>Promotion grant applications will be reviewed at meetings in January, April and October. data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Sioux County Improvement Fund can be used to improve visitor attractions and facilities, by making grants to expand and improve existing facilities, acquire or expand exhibits for existing attractions, construct visitor attractions, or for planning or developing expansion, improvements or construction.\u00a0<\/p><p>The grants are available for any attraction in the county owned by the public or any non-profit organization which has a primary purpose of operating the attraction. Visitor attractions must be in a defined location, open to the public, and of educational, cultural, historical, artistic or recreational significance, or provide entertainment, or have exhibits, displays or performances of educational, cultural, historic artistic or entertainment value.<\/p><p>All grants awarded by the Sioux County Travel Board are subject to final approval by the Sioux County Board of Commissioners.<\/p><p>Improvement grant applications will be reviewed in January and funds are allocated based on substantial completion.
